I am turning myself almost 100% all for organic products... if they are available... but as much as possible, I am avoiding high priced imported products... good thing, I found out about LEYENDE.... a big percentage of ingredients they are using are still imported.. but basically... it is locally owned and blended.....
I bought these three products online, at leyende.com. As soon as I got the products in Manila, I tried them, have to... need to know if I have allergic reaction to all.... so far.. none at all...
My ratings: The Kiss, kiss, balm, balm... (cute name!) with strawberry and yoghurt scent - 5 stars.... for the value, P200 or P250 ... how can I go wrong... but believe me, it is addicting.... this one is made from 100% beeswax.
Face Canvas - face cream.... ooooohhhhh, love this one as well, the smell ... mmmmm soothing... great as make up base... and for P450 .. 60g... great value again! 4 stars from me.
Ease Off (Face Exfoilant) - good... but not really great for me.... will rate this 3 stars only... but for people with sensitive skins... I guess, this product would be great... unfortunately.... not really for me.... 3 stars for this...
Will I buy from them again.... OF COURSE.... there are still a lot of products to try....
This product came out several years ago... and I did not see it for few years.... maybe I was not really "checking", but when I saw this last week.... wow... got excited about it... the hubby got one container for us to share... love it, love it.... vanilla ice cream, coated with chocolate shell.... bite size.... perfect!
I am no fan of Halo-Halo, some filipinos will tell me .. how corny of me ... but... if you will ask me 5 refreshing sweets... that won't be included in my top 5 list. My hubby loves it! I hate seeing Halo-Halo with all the colored sagos and jellies... and whatever synthetic colorings included... beans... need to stay away from them... hehehehehe, uric acid....
Last Saturday, while we were in Mall of Asia, my father asked us to have our merienda in Razon's.. they are actually famous in Pampanga for several years already... and I think it is the younger generations' idea to set up restos in malls all around Metro Manila.... and take note.. they are always full....
We only had a chance to eat their Halo-Halo... and so far... I am satisfied, no artificial colorings at all... very simple kind... not loaded... you will only get macapuno, leche flan and saging na saba ... perfect sweetness, very fine crushed ice (which my father truly loves) and a special concocted milk.... not just evaporated milk....
My parents, hubby and I are giving this refreshing treat... 5 stars!
I just tried it few weeks ago, apparently, I am not a soda drinker anymore.. (since last century, to be exact). How do I find Coke Zero, if the can or plastic container came out straight from the chiller, unopened and you asked me to drink it.... okay... but if you will re seal the container and place it back to the chiller and come back for it after few hours..... oh my....... I can not describe how bad the taste is.....
For me it deserves the name... Coke Zero as in zero points for me.. but I will give it 1 star for packaging....
The best supreme, strawberries and cream flavored ice cream I have ever tasted in this country!!!! All worth it! Ice cream lover? Buy this... ASAP!!!!!
For a locally manufactured body lotion... I would rate this 4 stars... I patronize locally made products .... the most important ingredient I love about this lotion is the SPF 20 that was added to the product... I love it.... but it did not get the full 5 stars from me because of the scent... nowadays, I prefer... fragrance free products... will I buy again? Of course!
What more I can say.... do I still need to put a review for this product? Hehehehehehe. 5 stars for all aspect..... period! If you are thinking of buying one.... stop thinking about it... GO AHEAD AND BUY ONE. I AM ASSURING YOU.... YOU WILL NEVER EVER, EVER REGRET ACQUIRING THIS UNIT..... great value for money, easy to use...... everything you need in a mobile computer is already loaded in this unit.....
This book deserves .... 7 or 10 stars...... please read my blog with the same title of the book... it deserves a whole blog page and not only a small space in this section....
I can not say, I am already hooked reading all Sophie's writings.... what I like about her... she makes me laugh..... good and easy reading... no wonder, its popular with the youngsters..... but for us... I would say... its worth reading.... take a peak on what its happening to our friend, Becky....
"This expensive, glossy world is where I've been headed all along. Limos and flowers; waxed eyebrows and designer clothes from Barneys. These are my people; this is where I'm meant to be." --Becky Bloomwood Universally beloved by readers, Sophie Kinsella's national bestseller, Confessions of a Shopaholic, introduced the irrepressible one-woman shopping phenomenon, Becky Bloomwood. Now, in this hilarious follow-up, Becky and her credit cards are headed across the Atlantic....
With her shopping excesses (somewhat) in check and her career as a TV financial guru thriving, Becky's biggest problem seems to be tearing her entrepreneur boyfriend, Luke, away from work for a romantic country weekend. And worse, figuring out how to "pack light." But packing takes on a whole new meaning when Luke announces he's moving to New York for business -- and he asks Becky to go with him!
Before you can say "Prada sample sale," Becky has landed in the Big Apple, home of Park Avenue penthouses and luxury department stores.
Surely it's only a matter of time until she becomes an American TV celebrity, and she and Luke are the toast of Gotham society. Nothing can stand in their way, especially with Becky's bills miles away in London.
But then an unexpected disaster threatens her career prospects, her relationship with Luke, and her available credit line! Shopaholic Takes Manhattan -- but will she have to return it?
All the while, I thought, I would not find this book funny.... since I saw this few years ago and girls are just going gaga over this.... I thought only teenagers would appreciate it..... anyway, I was able to get an ebook of this... and surprisingly... I find it funny.... now, I am still thinking, if I will get the whole series or not....
about this book Rebecca Bloomwood just hit rock bottom. But she's never looked better....
Becky Bloomwood has a fabulous flat in London's trendiest neighborhood, a troupe of glamorous socialite friends, and a closet brimming with the season's must-haves. The only trouble is that she can't actually afford it—not any of it.
Her job writing at Successful Savings not only bores her to tears, it doesn't pay much at all. And lately Becky's been chased by dismal letters from Visa and the Endwich Bank—letters with large red sums she can't bear to read—and they're getting ever harder to ignore.
She tries cutting back; she even tries making more money. But none of her efforts succeeds. Becky's only consolation is to buy herself something ... just a little something....
Finally a story arises that Becky actually cares about, and her front-page article catalyzes a chain of events that will transform her life—and the lives of those around her—forever.
Sophie Kinsella has brilliantly tapped into our collective consumer conscience to deliver a novel of our times—and a heroine who grows stronger every time she weakens. Becky Bloomwood's hilarious schemes to pay back her debts are as endearing as they are desperate. Her "confessions" are the perfect pick-me-up when life is hanging in the (bank) balance.
From the producers of Lord of The Rings .... another trilogy .... saw it last night. For a P50 movie pass, I have nothing to complain about. Movie is great .... its the typical fantasy film that you should pay attention when watching or else .. if you miss out a sentence in one of the dialogues .. you will completely be lost. Sad to say, the cinema house we went to has a bad sound system .... well, what do you expect ... for a P50 pass .. you get a P50 sound quality .... but its tolerable ... I just exerted alot of effort on understanding the dialogues... hahahahahahahaha.
What I like about the movie? The animals... the idea of each human having a DAEMON (animal spirit), is wonderful for an animal lover like me..... kids would love the film ... for those who are "just" planning to watch the film, I advise you to visit the official website of the said film. For the soon to be viewer to have an idea about the story ... if you walked in there without any knowledge at all, I assure you, you will not appreciate 1/3 - 2/3 of the film.
I just got this book from Julie (a high school barkada, who now lives in Canada). I can not resist myself ... I started reading the book an hour ago.... and I could say.... LOVE BOURDAIN!!!!
Its all about his experiences in traveling and food... 36 short stories ... all NON FICTION... I have checked out reviews about this book and I just can't get a short one to post it here... all are long and GOOD ones....
All I can say, BUY THE BOOK... or else... hope you have a friend with a name of Julie... who will give you one... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Thanks Julie, I am having a great time!
Never had the chance to see this film last year in cinemas. Only last week, I got the chance to view it at HBO. My husband and I had a great time watching this film ...... really nice, we do not mind to watch it all over again.....
Iris (Kate Winslet) is in love with a man who is about to marry another woman. Across the globe, Amanda (Cameron Diaz) realizes the man she lives with has been unfaithful. Two women who have never met and live 6000 miles apart, find themselves in the exact same place. They meet online at a home exchange website and impulsively switch homes for the holiday. Iris moves into Amanda's L.A. house in sunny California as Amanda arrives in the snow covered English countryside. Shortly after arriving at their destinations, both women find the last thing either wants or expects: a new romance. Amanda is charmed by Iris' handsome brother Graham (Jude Law) and Iris, with inspiration provided by legendary screenwriter Arthur , mends her heart when she meets film composer Miles (Jack Black).
They do not make movies like this anymore! I tried to search the internet for synopsis of the said film, and I can not find any. This film starred Pilar Pilapil, Christopher De Leon, Chanda Romero, Eddie Romero, Rosemarie Gil and Luis Gonzales. I am sure this film was shot mid 70's. Judging from the house interiors, cars, plate numbers and fashion.... surely.... mid 70's.
I was not able to see the first part of the film, but what captured me when I was flicking the channel was the classic beauty of Ms. Pilar Pilapil..... then, few seconds later... the intense acting of Christopher.... so, decided to watch the whole film. And I ..... will never regret it....
Absolutely beautiful film! Its a story about two souls that reincarnates and always get to find each other... love was so strong that even one dies... they know they will see and meet each other again... but at the present time.... they encountered problems.... Amanda (Pilar) was decades older than Deo (Christopher), and during the 70's, there was no Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore love affair.... specially in a very conservative country like ours.
If you will get the chance to catch it in Cinema One.... do watch it!!!! Storyline is beautiful... excellent casting... what more can you ask... Pilapil, De Leon, Romero and Romero... plus, Gil and Gonzales.... you are sure .. a great film to see. I was able to see the credits.. but unfortunately all letttering were handmade graphics... meaning... UNREADABLE.... the production company... never heard... I did not see the name of the director.
So, if you see this film in cable... take time.... beautiful love story..... 5 stars from me!

5 Stars from me!!!! This is a must-see film. This won the Cinemalaya 2006. This book is actually my sister's... hehehehehe. My mother is trying to get rid some clutter in her house and saw this big hardbound book. So, when I got to Manila last week, she gave it to me.... Sis, this is still your book... okay!
The book is well illustrated, but not intended for real beginners. It would be better if the person reading this would have a bit of knowledge in sketching and painting. Not ideal as one of the first books... but good as a reference for art. Based from research, you can still buy a brand new of this online. But actually, its already out of print. So, if you want to get hold of this ... get asap....
Don't worry sis, I am just going to babysit this book for you.... hehehehehehe
Never had a boring moment when I was reading this book. I just can not put it down. I love how the author was able to put everything in writing, as in every detail of its suspense..... if a writer can do that.. WOW... she communicated well with me. To my surprise, this book is just the first installment of an 8 series detective stories... but, I am not sure yet if I will collect all of it. Like what I did with the Arthurian Saga.
The initial installment of a projected series of mysteries set in Paris, this standout first novel introduces dauntless private investigator Aim?e Leduc. The French-American, whose specialty is computer forensics, is confronted with a seemingly mundane task: to decipher an encrypted photograph from the '40s and deliver it to an old woman in the Marais (the historic Jewish quarter of Paris). When Aim?e arrives at the home of Lili Stein to present the photo, however, she finds the woman dead, a swastika carved into her forehead. Thus begins a thrilling, quick-paced chase involving neo-Nazis, corrupt government officials and fierce anti-Semitism. With the help of her partner, Ren?, a computer hacking expert, Aim?e uncovers tantalizing clues relating to German war veteran Hartmuth Griffe, the Jewish girl he saved from Auschwitz, a French trade minister and other enigmatic figures. But the data Aim?e and Ren? come up with only takes them so far. In order to understand the true motive behind the killing, Aim?e must delve into history, confronting older residents of the quarterAwho'd prefer she leave the past aloneAand doing some undercover work. The suspense is high as she fraternizes dangerously with the enemy, even becoming briefly involved with an Aryan supremacist. Black knows Paris well, and in her first-rate debut she deftly combines fascinating anecdotes from the city's war years with classic images of the City of Lights.
Bought this book for P15 at Book Sale in Mall of Asia
For P295 book, this is good. An easy to understand finance book designed for every filipino who would like to know more about personal finance... on Philippine setting. I was able to read the book for 2 days only. That means, its truly an interesting topic to absorb.... by the way, its already on the bestseller list for almost 2 years.
A beautiful novel about 3 siblings. After a freak accident, the three siblings were able to find what should be done to their shattered pasts, and how to start a new life with their family, friends and love ones. This book is not boring at all, there is also funny parts in the story. I started reading this book last month, but because of busy schedule.... it ended up sleeping inside my bag. This morning, I was able to finish the whole book.... Got this book from Fully Booked, sale section, for P150.
This is a small budget.. inde film, starred by 2 great theater actors, Pen Medina and Ronnie Lazaro.. plus.... one of the great actresses in filipino cinema, Ms. Elizabeth Oropesa.
